CE Marking
Conformity support for products placed on the European Economic Area market, from technical file to Declaration of Conformity.
CE marking is the manufacturer's declaration that a product meets the requirements of the EU directives and regulations that apply to it. It allows free movement of the product within the European Economic Area and is mandatory for the product groups covered by those rules.
Responsibility sits with whoever places the product on the EU market — the manufacturer, importer, distributor or an EU-based office of a non-EU manufacturer. That party must complete a conformity assessment, compile a technical file and sign the Declaration of Conformity, keeping the documentation available to authorities on request.
Where the applicable directive requires it, a Notified Body must take part in the conformity assessment or in approving the production quality system. We guide manufacturers through directive selection, design verification, technical file preparation and the final declaration.
